STUART BLACK
Stuart black is one of the most successful three-day event riders in Canada. He has competed at the international level since he was 16 years old and has an accomplished resume which includes representing Canada and the United States both at the pan am and Olympic levels. Stuart has competed at CCI 5* competitions around the world from Kentucky, Badminton, Burghley, European championships, World Championships, Pan Am games (silver medal team 1987) and the Olympic Games (twice). Some notable achievements are winning The Kentucky 3 day event in 1992 with Von Perrier and still the only Canadian to do so to this day. Winning Radnor Hunt International 3 day event (3 times), Red Hills Horse Trials, The Fork, Colorado Horse Park 3 day event to name a few.
Stuart has been fortunate to ride a vast range of horses, from off-the-track thoroughbreds (OTTBs) to North American and European purpose-bred sport horses. He has produced countless horses up to the highest levels of the sport who had many years of success and longevity at the top levels. With Stuart’s years of experience and knowledge from having some of the best coaches in the world he has unique instincts to create an approach that is unique to each individual horse and rider to get the best out of them. Stuart is a firm believer that having hard meticulous work, a systematic approach, being patient and clear communication are the key ingredients in getting the best out of each partners full potential.
Aside from Stuart’s long-established successful competition career, he also has an extensive coaching resume of successful students. From coaching area II young riders, riders completing their first advance, first timers going clean around badminton, students first introduction into riding, or helping riders get their confidence back. Many of Stuart’s students have gone on to have successful riding careers, such as Skyler Icke Voss, Ashley Minion, Rebecca Howard, Hawley Bennett-Awad, Sinead Maynard (Halpin), Sean Mcquillan, Barry Thomason, and Bobby Meyerhoff to name a few. Whether it’s seeing his students jump for the very first time or jumping clean around their first advance Stuart gets the same amount gratification and excitement out of both. Stuart is all about riding correctly, calmly and safely and ensuring confidence in his students and their horses.
VICTORIA KNOX
Victoria has been involved with horses for over 19 years. Victoria’s passion started when she was a little girl, however riding was already in her blood as her mother and father were both involved with horses well before she was born. After graduating from University of Guelph with a degree in Bachelor of Science with Honours majoring in Biological Sciences, Victoria decided she wanted to shift her focus back to horses and competition full time. Victoria has consistent top placings at events, both in Canada and the USA. She has her level 1 cross country course designer license with Equestrian Canada. She has been a certified riding instructor through Ontario Equestrian since 2010. She was an instructor at Foxcroft Equestrian for several years. Whether it was starting students off with their first ever rides or developing students from the beginnings all the way to preparing them for their first competitions. Victoria is patient, kind, caring and can connect with any age or level. She is great with nervous riders encouraging them to become the confident riders they aspire to be.

Victoria has so much drive and passion when it comes to her riding, students and horses. She has a meticulous attention to details on and off the horse and around the barn. Victoria manages all their social media accounts, marketing of sale horses and bookkeeping at SV Equestrian International Inc. Combined with her qualifications and Stuart's long resume of experience and accomplishments they make quite the dynamic successful team.
