The Suir is a 6 yr old 16.2hh ottb mare, who took on her first eventing season by storm placing every single time out. 1st competition she won, next one she upgraded to pretraining taking home 4th place. Her 3rd and 4th time out she made the upgrade to training level placing 6th at both shows! She is a like a fish takes to water when it comes to cross country. Ditches, banks, water, skinnies, brush, she jumps around the xc so bold and beautiful. She really tries hard and is eager to please. She’s brave, careful and has the scope to continue moving up the levels
She is the same sweet mare on/off property, great to hack alone or with others. The teenage girls at the barn can ride and jump her effortlessly giving them confidence. She loves turnout with her friends, being bathed, clipped, standing for the farrier and great to trailer. UTD on everything and has no maintenance! Perfect confirmation, clean straight legs, good feet, no vices or injuries.

Tommy as he is known in the barn is a 2011 16hh Chestnut gelding by Prince Calmar out of Mamma Mia by Rio Grande. Although he may be 16hh, he is a BIG, flashy mover with a scopey jump paired with excellent form with his careful tight knees! Tommy has competed at the Pretraining (novice) level in eventing, and is ready to move up to training level come next season. He has jumped schooled up to 1m15 at home. Tommy will jump whatever you point him at and is fearless; jumping ditches, banks, skinnies and in/out of water.
He consistently scores really well on the flat with his lovely, uphill, balanced way of going. He’s very obedient and is always ready to please. Tommy always give his 100 percent in everything that he does, making him the perfect partner. He goes well for the teenagers and adult amateurs at our barn and is just as fancy and foot perfect!
He will go hacking alone or with company, load/unload off the trailer and is happy to stand to be clipped/bathed/shod. He is UTD on everything and goes out in a mixed herd.
He is the ultimate first horse for AA or YR as he truly wants to be your best friend and spend all of his time with you! He’s got such a loveable character to him, it’s hard to not to fall in love with him. Tommy would excel in a variety of disciplines whether it be dressage, eventing, fox hunting, or jumpers as he is so versatile!
He does crib, but if he is out on grass he will not do it as he LOVES his food. This has never been an issue, and the owner has had him since birth. This is a tough sale as his owner absolutely adores him but with her current circumstances of running her family’s harness racing business and having little free time to ride, she does not want to see him miss out on the opportunity to have a fun career and best friend. A 5* home is an ABSOLUTE must, there are various arrangements that can be discussed to serious parties; such as on-site lease.
